  • The earliest record of cheese-making was in 5,500 BCE in what is now Poland, and today, there are over 1,400 varieties of cheese.


  • There are over 1,400 different types of cheese produced worldwide, each with its unique taste, texture, and characteristics. From creamy Brie to sharp Cheddar, soft Mozzarella to crumbly Feta, there is a cheese for every palate.


  • The largest recorded cheese in history weighed a whopping 57,518 pounds. It was produced in 1989 in Ontario, Canada. This colossal cheddar cheese was 32 feet long and took around four and a half years to age properly.
