Holy Guacamole, It’s Batman Day!

Batman Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of September each year, which falls on September 16th in 2023 .

The day is designated to celebrate Batman and his impact on popular culture. The first official Batman Day was held on July 23, 2014, to celebrate the character's 75th anniversary with the date chosen to coincide with San Diego Comic-Con that year.

Here are some fun facts about Batman

  • Batman was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger and first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in 1939

  • The Batmobile has gone through many different designs over the years, but the original design was based on a 1936 Cord .

  • The Joker was originally supposed to be killed off in his first appearance, but the character proved to be so popular that he was brought back for future stories .

  • Tim Burton’s 1989 film “Batman” was the first major big-screen adaptation of the character since the 1960s TV series .

  • Christian Bale played Batman in Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” trilogy, which includes “Batman Begins” (2005), “The Dark Knight” (2008), and “The Dark Knight Rises” (2012) .

Here are some fun quotes from the Batman movies:

“I’m Batman.” - Bruce Wayne/Batman, Batman Begins

“Endure, Master Wayne. Take it. They’ll hate you for it, but that’s the point of Batman, he can be the outcast. He can make the choice that no one else can make, the right choice.” - Alfred Pennyworth, The Dark Knight

“Oh, you think darkness is your ally. But you merely adopted the dark; I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding!” - Bane , The Dark Knight Rises

“The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you, the dawn is coming.” - Harvey Dent, The Dark Knight

Fun facts about Albert Einstein

  1) Einstein didn't like wearing socks. Apparently, no matter how smart you are, socks will inevitably get holes in them. For this reason (seriously), Einstein never wore socks. He even boasted to his friends that, while a student at Oxford, he got away with not wearing socks . I disagree with Einstein, socks are cool as long as they have a cool design.
